April 1st - April Fool's Day - 2011

One week to go.
I am in the school's Easter Production of Alice in Wonderland next Thursday night. I am a frog. I have one line, which is "No, your majesty, it wasn't me". I have to wear a green T-shirt. Thoughts like this are constantly distracting me from the list of things I need to do, which is mostly a good thing.
My dear husband surprised me with some gifts after school today:

A really light Swiss army knife with all the required tools including tooth-pick and tweezers. I must make sure I check it into hold baggage along with my poles!

Let no-one say the age of romance is dead..

A useful but definitely unromantic gift - requested by me
My husband was also tasked with making me a lightweight "poop-trowel" which he has cunningly constructed from a length of drainpipe. It is tough, light, and has dual functionality as a ladle, a midge-splatter, a skin-scratcher, and doubtless many other uses (to be discovered!!!)

I have brought some real crocs and they will accompany me on my trip, the only alternative footwear to my boots. I just hope the weather is warm enough for me to wear them without socks, as I hate getting cold feet.
