Well chamartin station is all very well but I am glad to be on my way now. The train is wonderful and I am by a window so happy. I had a bit of an energy slump earlier and think I might lay off the Spanish coffee! Perhaps one a day is all my metabolism can deal with. I have had 3 this morning... The air temp is 29 deg C. I think Spain won a prize in the Olympic synchronized swimming; there was some excitement at the station earlier. I am glad it isn't all Team GB!

Leaving Madrid 7 August
