It drizzled in true Galician/Celtic fashion for the last 2 hours before getting to Muxia but was rather lovely too. The Camino route from Dumbria is more than 4 km further than the road route but I stuck to my guns and followed the yellow arrows.
There is loads of wild hydrangea in the region so I have (hopefully) attached one...
When i got to Muxia I bumped into several pilgrims being rather frantic about 'full' albergues, and I must admit my heart wasn't in it. So yes, I am not a true pilgrim. I van make all kinds of excuses but the bottom line is that I really want a good nights sleep, I work very hard, and I am fortunate enough to be able to afford 45 Euros to stay in the Pension La Cruz, where Andrew and I stayed last time we were here. I have a view of the sea from my window and will go for a swim later.
So my albergue experience is over. I am off to find a mixed salad.
Even walking 15 miles in Galicia takes it out of you: there is no such thing as flat!
