Roman roads

This is a classic bit of todays journey: a Roman road. The Camino (that I saw in daylight!) Goes on a variety of roads. Sometimes it has been tarmacced over ans feels very modern, but sometimes it suddenly spits you out onto a Roman bridge or next to an ancient pilgrim fountain. Certainly it is not predictable or boring.
After moaning about the difficulty getting meat and vegetables I decided to have a healthy meal near A Laxe (bar Maria Jose). I had a lovely mixed salad followed by chicken and chips. No poster and no coffee, but a diet coke, all for Euro 9. It was beautifully cooked and I won't need another meal today.
I have a plan to walk to Santiago tomorrow. It is about another 40 km or 25 miles. The reason would be that I could stay 2 nights in Santiago, and I really want to see the pilgrim museum. So at the moment I am planning yet another early start, although with the single room that should be easier...
